It has been awesome to get out and about over this last month.
In early May, we had two weeks of Parliament sitting. Since then, I have been able to deliver Parliamentary Reports in Maitland and Albion Park as well as attend many events. It has been great to meet people and speak in depth about issues facing New South Wales communities.
I was pleased to attend the opening of the new State Emergency Service Headquarters in South Nowra. In particular I wish to congratulate Mark Kielly, Unit Controller for Nowra SES, on his 10 year Long Service Award. I also wish to acknowledge and thank all the volunteers in the service who give generously of their time and abilities to help others in their hour of need.
Thank you and congratulations on the new Headquarters.
I was also excited to attend the opening of the Callala Beach to Myola Shared Pathway. The pathway provides a safe place in which families can access Myola Beach. Congratulations to the community of Callala Beach in their fundraising efforts and to the NSW State Government for supporting this great initiative.
